Item # OSL-14 Larry Zelina Reunion Print In 1968, Ohio State, led by Woody Hayes and eleven future All-Americans, won college football's National Championship. They completed their regular season an undefeated 10-0 after beating Michigan 50-14 to clinch the Big Ten title. On New Year's Day in the Rose Bowl, the Buckeyes beat USC 27-16 led by Heisman Trophy winner O.J. Simpson. Larry Zelina played a very important role in several wins for that team. In the Ohio State record books, he ranks number one all-time in punt returns for a touchdown in a season, number one all-time in punt return yards per attempt in a season and third all-time for total punt return yardage in a season. He passed away in 2005. In Columbus in 1993, the entire team was recognized at a reunion banquet. At the banquet, Artists for Athletes offered a series of prints paying tribute to the eleven All-Americans who played on that team. This print of Larry Zelina was the only other player print we produced other than the All-American series. This 13 x 18 inch limited edition unmatted print is one of only 150 signed and numbered by the artist and authentically autographed by Larry Zelina in red sharpie. It will attract plenty of attention in your home or office. This is also a great gift idea for a loved one or a unique auction item for a charity fundraising event.
